Settling In!

The first, official, language classes began on day two, with two beginner Japanese classes and one intermediate/advanced class. Later in the day, the Japanese Academy met with the neighboring Latin Academy. Students shared common conversational phrases in both languages meant to be used when the academies encounter each other. After lunch, students regrouped with their morning language classes and played small group games in order to get to know each other further. Students also met with their han (groups decided on day one based on which events they wanted to help organize) and chose a leader (hancho) to head the group.
